Our service of Remembrance at St Peter’s Church was led by Rev. Janet with the pupils joined by parents and governors. The children heard all about the meaning of the poppy and were led in prayer by year six. The singing of the Taize chant ‘Jesus Remember Me’ was a particularly special moment and it was great to see the school community come together for this very special Church service.
Well done to the boys and girls who represented the school in the Remembrance Football Tournament at St Cuthbert’s Great Glen. The children had an excellent afternoon finishing runners-up in the tournament with some super performances. Thank you to Mr Williams for coaching the team and to Friends of Church Langton for the new shirts which were worn for the first time.
Well done to the boys who represented the school in the first round of matches in the football league. The boys played well in drawing one match and losing the other. Thank you to Mr Baylis for coaching the team.
A big thank you to Friends of Church Langton for the new kit which was worn by the team for the first time.
Please feel free to join us at Church for communion.
A fantastic starting point for our ‘Dark, dark night’ Topic, looking for the Gruffalo and friends in the woods and grounds of Beaumanor Hall. Who will we find, but more importantly who will find us?!
Parents and carers are welcome to join us for the science fair where the children will share everything they have been learning during science week.
Well done to the teams who represented our school in the netball tournament held at Leicester High school for Girls. The teams included boys and girls from years five and six. This event is always a highlight of the sporting calendar and Mrs Edwards was very proud of the way our teams played. The teams played against matches against five other teams with some excellent results which led to our teams coming first and joint second in the league format.
